Help when social services get it wrong
Have you received a negative decision from social services? Been denied LSS support? Worried about an upcoming LVU hearing? I help you understand your rights and appeal the decision on your behalf.
Social welfare law is about your rights
Social services are meant to be a safety net, but sometimes they make decisions that are wrong. You may be entitled to support you have been denied, or an intervention may have been made on incorrect grounds. In both cases you have the right to appeal.
With more than 10 years of experience I understand both the legal and the human side of these cases. I know how social services work, which provisions apply, and how to write an appeal that gets results.
The laws I work with daily include the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS), the Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act (LVU) and the Care of Substance Abusers (Special Provisions) Act (LVM).
I can help you with
- Appeals against social services decisions
- LVU cases (public counsel)
- LVM cases
- LSS support and refusals
- Financial assistance (social benefits)
- Support before meetings with social services
- Written statements and supplementary submissions
